Hey, Listen! NXNE Diary: Perrier Pop Up and Stella Ella Ola
The first night of the music part of the festival kicked off last night, and there was no better way to celebrate than to attend a killer party, and end the night with a killer band!
First stop of the evening: The Burroughes Building for the Perrier Pop Up Party. First of all, I’m always on board for free booze and good music, so right off the bat the night was a success. However, when you add in a floor covered in fake grass, patio style tables, ping-pong, cotton candy and an insane assortment of arcade games, you’ve got yourself a party! So naturally the evening included me playing an excessive amount of Transformers pinball, watching my friends slap around a ping-pong ball, indulging in some cotton candy, and knocking back a few amazing cocktails (all mixed with Perrier, of course!). After enjoying the amazing Adult Playground that Perrier created, it was time for some live music.
I was absolutely thrilled that I got to catch the incredible Stella Ella Ola at The Ossington late last night. The room was ridiculously packed and buzzing like none other, and this was likely due to the excitement of the announcement of their debut album dropping August 5th, and the unveiling of their new music video for Peter Sellers. Oh, and not to mention these cats rock live, so that’s also why everyone was having such an incredible time.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more of my NXNE adventures to come!
