This weeks segment of #WineWednesday is brought to you all the way from Piedmont, Italy. Zoltan Szabo describes it as “perfectly suitable for the colder temperatures” this winter season. Cheers!

2008 Barbaresco, Punset

Piedmont, Italy

Biodynamic producer located in the commune of Neive in the region of Piedmont, by the foot of the Alps; this is a gorgeous Barbaresco, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes; ruby with deep brick hue in appearance; field berries, dried flowers, leather and white truffle scents on its bouquet; full yet feels rather gracious over the palate; power meets elegance here; minute – long finish; classic; will age and improve up to twenty years, although with wild boar sausage risotto it performs extremely well as it is right now; salute!
