DIY Breakfast in Bed for Mom
This mother’s day, unleash your culinary abilities and show mom how much you love and appreciate her with breakfast in bed.
Ingredients:
1 tray for cutlery & food
1 egg
1 piece of toast
½ avocado
Fresh berries, or fruit of choice
Yogurt
Cinnamon & honey optional
Coffee or tea
Orange Juice
Recipe:
Prep time: 20 mins
Cook time: 15 mins
*Grab a tray and place cutlery, flowers and your mother’s day card.
Yogurt Parfait
Layer a small dish with washed berries, yogurt and more berries. Sprinkle with some cinnamon and honey for added sweetness.
Egg in Toast
Cut a hole or heart shape out in the center of a slice of toast using a cookie cutter or knife and spread butter on each side.
Bring a pan to medium heat and cook both pieces of bread to golden color, lower heat and flip toast.
Remove cut-out piece of toast and crack an egg into the hole of toast, cover pan until egg is cooked.
While cooking, slice a bed of avocado onto cut-out toast.
Transfer egg toast and avocado toast on a plate.
Fill her favorite mug with her usual tea or coffee, along with a glass of OJ.
