The mornings are getting sunnier, the days are getting longer and people are starting to come out of hibernation, which means there will be plenty seeking for useful information about where to venture out for dinner after work/on the weekends.

Zoltan Szabo will be recommending wine lists from various restaurants to tickle your wine-loving-fancy, and impress your date, of course ;)

We begin this series with Sher – E – Punjab..

Danforth cc 1975 family owned and operated, soon to reopen after being closed for a while for receiving a facelift; about thirty different labels on the list and half of those going by – the – glass x six oz. pours; real low markups here, for example, Leaning Post’s excellent Chardonnay going for sixty a bottle; wines of Ontario are well represented with international finds from Spain and Portugal, South Africa, southern France, northern Italy, eastern and central Europe, even an Amontillado and junmai ginjo sake, carefully selected for reasons of compatibility with the classic menu items; very good beers and unique cocktails here as well; check it out, patio in spring / summer. sher-e-punjab.ca
