Prince Edward County

Light to medium – weight, savoury and refreshing, this is a solid Riesling made from estate grapes grown in fractured limestone soil; bouquet of lime leaf and linden blossom; an unmistakable mineral trait underlying its citrus fruit core; firm acidity and a clean finish; fairly low alcohol; very reasonably priced, as are the other lovely wines produced by this winery, the old school Chablis – like Chardonnay, the dry and light, sour red cherry – flavoured Pinot Noir and the tart white peach – nuanced Pinot Gris; the estate’s restaurant is opening soon and will be serving a local county fare; this place is really worth the less than 2 hours drive; cheers !! casadeaestates.com
