2011 Pinot Noir ‘Village Reserve’ Le Clos Jordanne

Last week, I sampled many of this fine estate’s wines coming from the 2011 vintage, well – made Chardonnays and excellent Pinot Noirs; winemakers switch not that long ago seems not to have any effect over quality at this winery and this Pinot Noir is clear proof of that; red cherry, dried morel and purple flowers notes; light to medium bodied and bright, acidity – wise, with silk – smooth texture and almost unnoticeable wood tones; 13% alc. perfectly integrated; a gracious little Pinot; friends came over and I grilled lamb burgers and duck sausages, we had a feast, this wine paired along just nicely; available via cbrands.com and also check out leclosjordanne.com
