This is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, grown in schistous and limestone – rich soils; blueberry, raspberry, smoky – savoury – green coffee with an undercurrent of intriguing musk and animalité nuances on its bouquet; full bodied yet it feels light and elegant on the palate, with crisp acidity and a long and firm, spicy – vinous finish; a real wine; biodynamic; perfect to accompany rack of lamb, turducken, or venison; and available @lcbo right now; buy without any hesitation, this, or any other wines made by Michel Chapoutier; luckily, quite few in Vintages at the moment; santé !!
